Civil Ceremonies at the Guildhall

Congratulations on your engagement!

For your special day, choose Newport’s most engaging, enchanting location The Guildhall!

Here at The Guildhall we aim to make your day special, whether you would like a grand affair or quiet and simple ceremony, we do all we can to accommodate your wishes.

The Guildhall in the heart of Newport dates back to the 15th Century, which has been sympathetically refurbished to offer a truly unique venue for your perfect ceremony

The Guildhall in the Heart of Newport (Shropshire) is one of the earliest to be established in England and is mentioned in a document dated 1252.
The Council Chamber on the first floor is the upper part of the original open hall, where the magnificent beams and beautiful interior offer a truly unique venue for a Civil Ceremony, Renewal of Vows or a Naming Ceremony.
The Guildhall welcomes all ceremonies both large and small, from an intimate event for two, to a larger ceremony surrounded by up to 30 of your family and friends.
The Chamber is accessible by stairs or chair stairlift.

“The most amazing day of our lives, thank you Sophie for everything you did, you made our day go perfectly and smooth. Nothing was too much trouble, I will never forget the venue and how perfect it was.”

Mrs Mullinder December 2018
