Allotments
Newport Town Council administers approximately 100 allotments within Newport. The allotments are popular and we currently have a waiting list. Please contact us for further details and to be placed on the list.
There are two allotment sites in Newport: one at Boughey Road on the west side of town, and the other at Meadow View Road on the east side of town.
Allotments can generally be rented in 2 sizes, 100 Square metres or part thereof. Prices shown are indicative for residents and none residents of Newport however, they should be confirmed by contacting staff in the Guildhall and, due to the length of the waiting list, are likely to have changed between registering and actually obtaining an allotment.
The waiting list is operated on a first come, first served basis. If you are interested in renting an allotment we can put you on the waiting list and we will contact you as soon we have plots available (although currently there may be around an 18 month wait). Due to the high demand, priority is given to Newport residents.
If you live outside the Newport boundary you may wish to contact your local authority who may be able to help you to apply for an allotment in your area.
Please note the Newport Allotment Society is run by and on behalf of the allotment holders, not Newport Town Council
