Newport Town Council are holding a small Wedding Fayre as part of their Wedding Promotion month at the Guildhall this February.

The Wedding Fayre will welcome couples not only to experience the venue, but to find inspiration and ideas for their big day. A range of local Newport-based wedding businesses will be on hand to help guests make their big day extra special, regardless of the size of their budget or their specific tastes and styles.

The Guildhall, Newport is a 15^th Century, Grade II listed building that has been sympathetically refurbished to offer a unique and charming venue for Weddings and Civil Ceremonies.

Ante-Chamber set-up for cake cutting ceremony

Ceremonies take place in the Council Chamber, which features a beautiful, period vaulted ceiling with magnificent, exposed beams and large inglenook fireplace. This is an intimate venue for up to 30 people and provides a charming alternative to registry office weddings.

The Chamber will be dressed for a wedding, with flowers on the top table and garlands on the mantle and central beams. The chairs will be dressed in white covers, with accent sashes and flowers along the aisle.

The enchanting ambience continues in the Ante-Chamber, which can be booked for light refreshments after the ceremony and can accommodate up to 10 people.

The Wedding Fayre takes place on Thursday the 23^rd of February and will run from 5pm to 8pm. The event is free of charge and a glass of bubbly will be on hand at arrival. To register your interest, please fill in our short online form here.
