Newport Town Council is looking for an exceptional candidate to fill the post of Customer Services Officer.
This exciting opportunity requires you to be part of our small but dynamic team delivering excellent customer service to the residents and visitors of Newport and ensure that the service provided is of a consistently high standard.
We are looking to recruit a motivated, customer focused individual to join our team. You will be dealing with customer enquiries and sign-posting as appropriate. You’ll be supporting people over the telephone, through e-mail and face to face in our town centre offices. You will need excellent communication skills and be able to deal with a diverse range of customers.
You will have excellent organisation skills as you support the rest of the team with basic administration tasks.
Ideally you will have experience of working in a customer service or office environment although training will be given. It is a demanding yet rewarding role for someone who enjoys working part of a very busy team and is able to deal with a diverse range of tasks.
The role is for 25 hours per week over 5 days and the annual salary is £13,813 actual pro rated.
