Newport Innovation and Enterprise Package – Highways Improvements and Infrastructure

Works are progressing on the construction of the infrastructure to support Newport’s new Innovation Park (NI-Park) the edge of Newport, to the south of the A518. As part of this package, resurfacing works at Roundabout 1 will start on Monday 22nd June 2020. Traffic lights will be in place on the A41 between Monday-Friday 7pm and 7am for up to two weeks whilst these works are undertaken.
In order to complete these resurfacing works safely and to minimise the amount of disruption caused, we will need to close Stafford Road between this roundabout and the roundabout that joins Saxon Drive and Daniel’s Cross from Monday 22nd June 2020 to Friday 26th June 2020. This road will be closed on night shifts only and then re-opened to traffic during the day. All other night shift works will be carried out under 4-way traffic lights.
We would like to take this opportunity to apologise in advance for any inconvenience these works may cause. We will try to cause as little inconvenience as possible and would appreciate your co-operation whilst we are undertaking the works.
